Physiology with FLOW: Set Sail!
Dear colleagues, I am thrilled to welcome you to Hamburg — a city that pulses with water and movement. Together, we will dive into the dynamic world of translational and integrative (patho)physiology, exploring how organ systems communicate — from the molecular to the organismal level — and how new technologies shape our understanding of health and disease. Through cross-sectional and classic symposia, oral and poster sessions, and inspiring keynote lectures, we will tackle pressing clinical riddles and illuminate the physiology behind public health challenges. Presymposia of Special Interest Groups and Young Physiologists will set the FLOW. The following currents of discovery will include the FLOW of molecules such as calcium and glucose, the FLOW of knowledge, the FLOW of motion, systems, and applications.
Join me in Hamburg to boost translation, innovation, and meaningful connections between academia, and medicine at the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf (UKE) and Hafen-Klub Hamburg while overseeing the FLOW of gigantic container ships.
Set sail for discovery — where physiology flows across organs, species, disciplines, and generations, join us on our cruise!
With great anticipation,
Catherine Meyer-Schwesinger
